Malinois Pedigree is a collaborative project created by myself, Jella in efforts to document this incredible breed of canine. Anyone with a working class breed is welcome to participate.

Correct and balanced temperament is essential to the character of a Malinois. This breed is confident, exhibiting neither shyness or aggressiveness in new situations, yet vigil. An ideal Malinois is reserved with strangers (aloof) yet highly affectionate within the pack. Malinois' are protective of their pack members and property without being overly aggressive and possesses a strong desire to work and please due to their genetics. The protective trait must not be misconstrued as aggressivenesses or fear, it is a purposely bred genetic trait of this breed. A heavy hand is not needed in training the Malinois, continuing 'big' praise and encouragement is all they require. This is not to say correctional methods are not needed, they are... but the Malinois responds very quickly to corrections and understand what is expected and what will not be tolerated. When you hear the term used, 'they just want to please their handler', believe it! Malinois' are born to please. My tag team duo amazes me daily with their intelligence, animated personalities, abilities and skills.

Also available in the Download section are some very nice fillable progeny templates which I created and are offered for download and use by anyone. I am currently working on new templates to add. Members are welcome to create breed related wikis in our K9Wiki and send any requests you may have directly to Jella.

What Malinois Pedigree (Jella) is not: I am not a breeder, not a trainer and not a decoy. nor do I sell any dogs and I am not interested in purchasing any dogs. I am simply a devout lover of this breed and handler/owner of my 2 Malinois, sire Zod and dam Jella who are brother and sister of the same sire and dam. Both have been trained professionally in protection work by David Ranieri, owner of Trouwe Hond Kennel. My NVBK registered male, J'zEros van de Trouwe Hond [call name Zod] is available for stud in MA., RI., lower NH., ME., and VT., but only to proven high quality Malinois bitches. This means prior to any consideration you must provide a copy of 'de stamboom' of your bitch, which I will personally research in-depth. Zod's impressive and extensive working line pedigree is from very old, hardcore Mechelaar stock and photographs can be found on his stud page. Zod is my personal protection K9 and with him by my side I feel secure. Zod is not for sale at any price, so please don't ask.
